Sivio’s Weighted Blanket for Adults is - like all weighted blankets - not going to be right for everyone, but it’s a good quality blanket that’s ideal for winter. Right now there’s a lot of buzz surrounding weighted blankets and this is probably the third weighted blanket I’ve tried. Weighted blankets are designed to keep you calm and help you enter a deeper sleep. They are popular for adults, teens and also for those on the Autism spectrum. A weighted blanket can help diffuse stressful meltdowns and keep them sleeping longer and more peacefully. While I can’t comment on that aspect, I can say that it’s important to think about whether you might benefit from one, before trying it.
The most important thing to note here is that the Sivio Sherpa Fleece Weighted Blanket is not ideal in summer. The warm, fuzzy lining and minky top side are far too hot during the hotter months. I’d recommend it more for Fall and Winter, but not summer or spring. If you have a crazy AC system you might be able to use it year round.
At this weight, it’s designed for folks around 150lbs and those who are heavier may need a more weighty blanket to see the benefit. When lying on top of it you can feel the ceramic beads inside, but they are barely felt with the blanket on top of you. You can also slip a thin quilt between you and the blanket if the feeling bothers you.
The soft sherpa style fleece lining is super cozy and comfortable, not scratchy in the slightest. The minky top is likewise extremely soft and smooth, with a lovely grey look that will fit most room schemes.
Size-wise, the Sivio Adult Weighted Blanket is designed for a queen size bed. Like all Weighted Blankets it will not fit the whole bed, or curve around your whole body super well (depending on your size). This is part of the design, it will sit flat on top of you. Again, you can put a quilt underneath if you need to be wrapped a little.
The quality of the Sivio Weighted Blanket is simply fantastic. There were no flaws, weird smells, problems or issues with the blanket I received. It came vacuum sealed tightly and was ready for use immediately, though it did fluff up a little after being deflated.
When I compare it to an expensive brand name blanket such as Nirvana Weighted Blanket I actually found it more comfortable, though again it’s only suitable for colder weather.
The current price point of $119.99 (at time of review, could change) is extremely fair. It’s on par with what others are sold at and cheaper than some brands. Considering the good quality of this blanket, I feel that’s a fair price. It is a big chunk of money, depending on your budget, so make sure you have a plan for what to do if it turns out weighted blankets just aren’t for you!
Sivio’s Sherpa Fleece Weighted Adult Blanket is good quality at a reasonable price, but the warmth of the materials makes it only suitable for Winter or Fall. During those times it’s sure to be super cozy! You can also crank the AC and snuggle on the sofa with it.

Recommended: Yes, if you’ve been looking for a good weighted blanket I would recommend the Sivio’s Weighted Blanket for winter or fall. You could buy an all-season one, but it won’t be as cozy in winter.
